Coming up in the
OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2010
Issue of ICF Builder magazine:

Commercial Construction
Deadlines for the October/November issue are just a few weeks away. This edition is focused on commercial construction, with an in-depth look at ICFs in the hospitality sector.

You'll want to be represented in this issue, and deadlines are fast approaching. Here's a summary of each of the major features:

Cover Feature:
Hotel Chains Building with ICFs
A surprising number of hotels have ready been built with ICFs, many of which are owned by well-known national brands.  They’re often the best performing buildings in the chain, and have opened the door to a potentially lucrative market.

Additional Feature:
Floor Joists to Speed Construction
In commercial construction, time is money, and compressed schedules can save hundreds of thousands of dollars.  We’ll take a look at a number of options that work well with ICF walls and have proven to shave weeks off completion time.

Additional Feature:
Rebar cutters and benders
Shaping reinforcing steel on the jobsite has both rewards and drawbacks.  A few convenient, portable tools can maximize the advantages while eliminating many of the hassles.

Additional Feature:
Steel Schedules
Often, whether an ICF project stays within budget depends on the structural engineer, and his understanding of reinforcing steel.  Learn why and where steel is needed, and how working with designers can eliminate the “overengineering” that sometimes pushes projects beyond the owners financial reach.

In addition to these features, the magazine will contain the full range of departments you’ve come to expect. Ian Giesler, Randy Wilkerson, Robert Klob, and Cameron Ware will continue their columns, alongside the well-established Industry News and New Products sections.

If your company markets a product that would be a good fit for any of the stories listed above, or has been involved with a project that you feel should be mentioned in this issue, please contact the editor, Clark Ricks, at editor@icfmag.com.

In today’s economy, it’s more important than ever to preserve or gain market share, and trade magazine advertising is a great way to do that. I feel confident that you will receive a better return on your investment with this magazine than any other publication.

Please contact me with any questions.  I’ll be happy to put together a proposal that fits your needs and your budget.

Thank you,
